Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку ""Intellectual show: How to Understand These Mystifying Americans?"" Мероприятие предназначено для учащихся 10-11 классов
(УМК В.П.Кузовлева и др. “English-10-11”) для проверки знаний по изученным темам и общего уровня развития по различным предметам. В викторине принимают участие 2 команды. Количество правильных ответов соответствует количеству баллов. Выигрывает команда, набравшая наибольшее количество баллов. Перед викториной целесообразно показать презентацию по теме «США». Викторину можно провести как итоговое мероприятие, а также во время проведения недели английского языка.
Тема: The USA
Форма проведения: викторина.
Цели:
Воспитание уважительного отношения к стране изучаемого языка; - расширение кругозора;
Стимулирование интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.
Задачи:
Развивать умение воспринимать информацию на слух;
Совершенствовать умение отвечать на вопросы.

Ведущий : Hello, everybody! We are happy to greet you in our assembly hall. Today we are going to have a very interesting intellectual show connected with the elements of history, geography and culture of the USA.
Ведущий : -You know that"s it"s a highly find a person who doesn"t know who discovered the United States of America. Yes, Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.Do you know about the history of this wonderful country? I offer you to see a presentation about history of discovering the USA. It was made by the pupil of the 11 B form……

There are a lot of important days for every American. So they have one day in November when all Americans stay at home with their families and eat a big dinner .Can you guess what day do I mean? (Thanksgiving Day)
Ведущий : -You are right. They give thanks for many good things in their lives. Special dinner on this day is called feast. Turkey with stuffing is the main dish. It is served with mashed potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie. Apple cider is the drink of the day. Football is the most popular game on this day. For many schools, the Thanksgiving Day game is the most important one of the year. Stores, classrooms, and homes are decorated with turkeys, pilgrims, Indians, wreaths of dried flowers and vegetables. Horns of plenty are also very popular. Charitable organizations serve dinner to needy people. They also send baskets of food to elderly and sick. And now we are going to show you a scene about the history of Thanksgiving Day performed by pupils of the 9 G form.

"THE ORIGIN OF THANKSGIVING"
Characters: Story-teller, the Pilgrims, Indians.
Story-teller: On September 16,1620 the Pilgrims sailed from Plymouth, England. The ship was called the Mayflower, they landed at Plymouth Rock, in Massachusetts, on December 26,1620.
The 1st Pilgrim: Oh, I see a land! Look!
All Pilgrims: Land! Hurrah! Land!
The 2nd Pilgrim: Look! There are people there. They welcome us.
The Indian Leader: Welcome to our land! Who are you? Where are you from?
The 1st Pilgrim: We are Pilgrims. We are from England. We have come for new lives. And who are you? The Indian Leader: We are Indians. We have been living here for a long time. You may stay here and live on our land.
Pilgrims: Thank you very much!
Story-teller: The first winter was a terrible time. The Pilgrims were hungry, sick and cold. Many people died. Then the Native Americans, the Indians, helped the Pilgrims.
The 3rd Pilgrims: We have nothing to eat. Many people have died and many are sick. What shall we do? (Появляются индейцы с корзинками еды).
The 1st Indian: Hello! We have brought food to you: bread, vegetables, fruit, corn, and other things.
The 3rd Pilgrim: Oh! Thank you very much! You have saved our lives! We"ll never forget you!
Story-teller: Spring came. Indians taught the Pilgrims to plant corn, to build houses, to hunt, to fish. In other words - how to survive in America.

The 2nd Indian: We"ll teach you how to plant corn, build houses, hunt and fish. Our land is very rich.
The 4th Pilgrim: Thanks! We"ll pray for you! We"ll be good pupils.
Story-teller: The crops did well, and in the fall (autumn) of 1621 the Pilgrims had a great harvest. They were very thankful and decided to celebrate with a feast. The Pilgrims invited the Indian friends to share this Thanksgiving feast.
The 2nd Pilgrim: Welcome to our Thanksgiving feast! We are grateful to you for many things. But the main is: you helped us when we suffered greatly. And we " l l never forget those days !

Story-teller: Thanksgiving was proclaimed a national day of observance by Congress of the United States in 1941. Today, Thanksgiving is the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season and in many cities Thanksgiving marks the arrival of Santa Claus.

Story-teller: Once upon a time, in a faraway land there lived a pretty girl. Her name was
Snow White. Her father, the king, married again, and his new wife hated the girl a lot.
The stepmother thought that she was the most beautiful woman in the kingdom and always
asked her magical mirror about it.
Музыка. Выходит Белоснежка. Она ставит чайник и чашки на стол, затем
начинает подметать пол. Останавливается, вытирает пот со лба.
Snow White: Oh, I am so unhappy. My stepmother hates me. My father has forgotten m е Perhaps some day a prince will come and take me away from the palace!

Грозная музыка. Входит мачеха. Садится за стол, берет в руки зеркало, смотрится

Stepmother: Oh, how happy I am! I have married the king and I am the queen now. How beautiful I am! Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of us all?
Mirror ( голос за кадром ): You are very beautiful, but Snow White is more beautiful.
Stepmother ( зло ): Dirty glass! I’ll break you into pieces! Oh, Snow White, how I hate you!
( Белоснежка от испуга вскакивает , роняет вышивку )
You won’t live in the palace any more! Go to the forest and let wild animals kill you!
Грозная музыка. Мачеха уходит.
Snow White ( грустно ): What shall I do? I must go to the forest. Nobody can help me. How unhappy I am! (уходит).
Смена декораций. Сцена в лесу. На сцене стол и лавка. На стенде рисунок домика
в лесу . Выходит рассказчик .
Story-teller: So, our Snow White left the palace and went to the forest. She was very, very unhappy. There was dark and cold in the forest. Snow White got frightened very much.
Suddenly she saw a small house. Seven dwarfs lived there.
Snow White: Oh, how it is dark here and nobody around! What shall I do? Where shall I
sleep when night comes? ( видит домик ) Oh, what a nice little cottage! It looks like a toy.

2 гном : Her face is white as snow.
3 гном : Wak е up, wake up, please! (трясет ее за плечо)
Snow White: (просыпается, потягивается, видит гномов) Изумленно: Oh, my! You are dwarfs!

Snow White: I’m Snow White. May I stay here? I can keep the house for you. I can do many things. I can cook tasty food, bake bread and clean the house.
Гномы ( хором , радостно хлопая в ладоши ): Tasty food!
4 гном : You are a very good girl! You can stay with us!
Snow White: Thank you, dear friends! I suppose you are hungry. Would you like me to cook meat soup, fish and potatoes, tea and cookies for you?

Snow White: Your dinner will be ready soon.
5 гном : Thank you, Snow White! Now we must go to our mine.

Mirror ( голос за кадром ): With the seven dwarfs still alive, the fairest in the land, Snow White.
Stepmother ( зло бросая зеркало ): Shut up, shut up, dirty glass! I know what to do. I’ll poison her myself. Where is my magical red apple? Oh, here it is! How juicy and delicious it looks.
I’ll go to the forest. I must hurry now! ( поспешно встает , накидывает плащ , берет яблоко , уходит ).
Смена декораций. Домик в лесу, Белоснежка сидит и вышивает.
Snow White: Oh, how happy I am! My dear dwarfs will come soon.
( раздается стук в дверь ) Oh, who is there? Come in, come in, please!
( входит мачеха в плаще с капюшоном ) Oh, who are you/
Stepmother: I’m an old woman. I want to drink. Give me some water, please!
Snow White: ( наливает в чашку воды , подает мачехе ): Here you are!
Stepmother: Thank you, good girl! You are so kind! Have the apple. It is so tasty. Try it!
Snow White: Thanks a lot! (откусывает яблоко) Ah! (падает на лавку)
Stepmother (откидывая капюшон с головы, радостно): Ha-ha-ha! She is dead! (уходит)
Музыка. Приходят гномы.
1 гном : Oh, our dear Snow White is dead!
( гномы обступают Белоснежку )
2 гном : She is too beautiful to be buried in the cold earth.
3 гном: What shall we do?

King Lear: I’m very glad to hear that. And what would you like to tell me, Cordelia?
Cordelia: I don’t understand why my sisters say they love you more than anything else. They are married. Don’t they love their husbands? You are my father, and of course, I love you. But when I marry I’ll love my husband, too.
King Lear: Oh, it’s not the right thing you’ve told me! I’m disappointed. I don’t want to have such a daughter! You’ll get nothing! Go away!

Учитель: Дорогие ребята! Я рада видеть вас на нашем празднике английского языка! Вы изучаете английский язык уже 2-й год, поэтому много научились. Сегодня мы предлагаем вам пообщаться друг с другом и познакомиться и путешествовать по английскому языку.
Сегодня мы побываем в английской школе.- “Merry school”
Учитель: А сейчас мы узнаем, что за весёлые школы на наших портретах. Кто там учиться и какие предметы и учителя там есть.
1. Ребята рассказывают в любой форме о школах, которые у них на рисунках.
Учитель : Before beginning our lesson we will speak about your mood! I have the pictures of 4 faces. There are “OK ”, “Good ”, SO -SO ”, bad ” Если у вас отличное настроение, похлопайте в ладоши, если у вас нормальное настроение постучите по парте, ну а если плохое, опустите голову.
А теперь посмотрите, пожалуйста, наше расписание в нашей весёлой школе. Запомните название предметов, повторим все вместе.

Рисование - тема урока «Весёлый рисунок – Цветик – семицветик»
(Ребятам предлагается нарисовать цветок, лепестки которого разным цветом. Учитель читает стихотворение, называя разные цвета, а ребята раскрашивают цветок согласно названным цветам)

В конце мероприятия каждый ребёнок получает грамоту за участие в различных номинациях, шарик и флажок Англии в подарок.
Для того, что б выяснить понравился ли мероприятие детям можно узнать это по картинкам, на которых изображены лица, отражающие разное настроение.

One of the most famous song at that time was “Katyusha”. It was heard everywhere during the war. Millions of people thought that Katuysha was a real girl, who loved a soldier and waited for the letter from him.

After the war the song was spread and sung in English, Spanish and even Japanese.

The war went on. Our soldiers fought heroically and bravely. But when they had time for rest, they sang songs and listen to famous singers at the concerts. The most favourite song was

Songs played a very important part in people’s lives during the war. They helped to cheer everyday life and boosted the morale of the soldiers. There were all kinds of songs – patriotic, sentimental, danceable, and humorous.

The late 30s and early 40s produced some of the best and most enduring war songs. Sixty years later they are still popular and continue to be played worldwide.

One of such songs is “Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer” written by a famous American composer Jimmy McHugh.

It came out at the end of 1942 and immediately became a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

Тема: Праздник Рождества
Тип мероприятия – комбинированный.
Задачи урока:
- учебный аспект:
Формирование умения употреблять лексику по теме «Рождество» в речевых упражнениях;
Повышение мотивации учения при помощи интерактивных средств обучения;
-развивающий аспект:
Развитие творческих способностей учащихся;
-воспитательный аспект:
Воспитание чувства коллективизма, доброты;

Формирование представлений о традициях страны изучаемого языка;
Обеспечение условий для коммуникативного использования английского языка.

Сценарий
Ведущий : Hello, boys and girls! Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!
Рождество – это самый любимый праздник английских детей. Отмечают его 25 декабря – за неделю до Нового года. И сегодня вы узнаете, как празднуют его дети в Англии.
Ведущий : Дети заранее готовятся к Рождеству: всем своим родственникам и друзьям посылают открытки (Christmas cards ) с пожеланиями веселого Рождества и счастливого Нового года. (Merry Christmas ! And Happy New Year !)
Ведущий: в каждом доме ставят рождественскую елку (Christmas tree ), которую украшают игрушками. Давайте и мы украсим нашу елочку елочными шарами (balls ), но для этого нужно отгадать загадки: (конкурс загадок и чтение стихотворения Агнии Барто «Дело было в январе» с заменой слова елка на английский вариант)
Ведущий: к этому празднику английские дети учат песни и стихи и поют их у Рождественской елки. Давайте и мы вспомним стишки и песенки. (После каждого рассказанного стихотворения ребята вешают игрушки на елку или снимают с елки снежинки, под которыми спрятаны шары)
Далее все вместе поют песню « S - A - N - T - A »
Ведущий: наверное, больше всего вы ждете прихода деда Мороза ( Santa Claus ) – это добрый старичок, который всегда приносит подарки ( presents ) , кладет их в чулочки, которые дети вешают у своих кроваток или над камином.

Чтобы получить свои подарки вам надо расшифровать письмо, которое прислал дед Мороз (конкурс «расшифруй письмо»).
Динамическая пауза: песня « I ’ m a little snowman » с движениями. Давайте представим себя снеговиками, споем песню и покажем ее содержание движениями. В песне будут такие слова: I ’ m a little snowman (снеговик). Look at me ! (Посмотри на меня!) These are my buttons : 1, 2, 3. These are my eyes and this is my nose . I wear a hat ( шляпа ) and scarf ( шарф ). Brr… It’s cold!
Ребятам предлагается разделиться на две команды и выполнить задания (подписать рисунки, выбрав правильное количество пуговиц на снеговике, дорисовать и раскрасить снеговиков) …. После ответа вешают игрушки на елку.
Ведущий: традиционно на праздник англичане едят жареную индейку и рождественский пирог. На Трафальгарской площади в Лондоне стоит Рождественская елка. В 3 часа дня по телевидению выступает королева со своей речью.
На нашем уроке звучали новые для вас слова, сейчас мы узнаем, запомнили ли вы их.
Ведущий выводит на экран картинки: дед Мороз, елка, открытка, снеговик, елочные шары и их название. Дети должны сопоставить рисунок и надпись.
Ведущий : А теперь послушаем и споем Рождественскую песню We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Примечание
Особую радость дети получают от урока-праздника, когда ведущий одет Санта Клаусом (Дедом Морозом) или Снегурочкой. Обязательно нужно задать вопросы о датах Рождества в Англии и в России, так как не все дети это четко знают. В конце урока я подарила детям конфеты из рождественского носка, эмоции радости просто не передаваемые!
